About

In one of my “happy places,” on a serene beach in Mexico.

I am…

Average. Daughter. Mother. Lover. Sister. Friend. Teacher. Cook. Writer. Yogi. Spark of the divine. Just like you.

My grandmother introduced me to yoga by practicing alongside leotard-clad ladies on the television in the eighties! She was keen to the calming benefits yoga offered adults and children alike. I experimented with a variety of yoga styles and instructors while attending college in Northern Arizona and the United Kingdom, but consistency and dedication to my personal practice came much later. After I had noticed the benefits of a regular yoga practice, I craved the mind and body balance that unraveled. My practice brought with it not only physical transformations like increased strength, balance and flexibility but also mental transformations such as reduced stress and anxiety and greater positivity and clarity.

I have practiced yoga for over twenty years, but I started my journey as yoga as a teacher in 2012. I am an RYT-200 certified in the YogaFit style which emphasizes a practice that is safe for “every BODY.”

My classes combine stillness and movement with plenty of modifications so each student can tailor each class to how they feel in each moment. After all, every day is a new day.

 Who Cares?

Nobody or somebody, it doesn’t matter. I don’t write for anyone or anything in particular. I write for my self-reflection. If someone else happens to finds it interesting or useful in their practice, then I’ve accomplished more than I set out to. No expectations. No competition. No judgment.
